10 On The 10th

Mer's super fun bloggy carnival completely sneaked up on me. I didn't even realize it was time for it until I was surfing around blogland today. And then all the top ten lists started hitting me upside the head. My brain is mushy and my creative juices have completely ceased flowing, but I can't stand to be left out of a party....so....here ya go....

I was digging through some of my picture files the other day, and couldn't help but snort giggle at half of the pictures that have ended up saved on my computer. It is not complicated AT ALL to hit the delete button, but yet I feel compelled to waste space on this little boogers.

Since Meredith posted the picture of her nostrils that she took of herself...so shall I delve into the world of embarrassing, unflattering, and all out ridiculous photography. All for the sake of the blog.

You're welcome in advance.

So....here they are. My Ten Favorite "Why Did I Keep These Pictures Of Us?" Pictures.

10) This is what happens when you mix greasy Christmas morning hair and a husband with a happy trigger finger. If you were wondering....I'm NOT saying "Oooooooohhhhh" about the new tools.

9) I can't even begin to tell you how many of these pictures I have stuck on my harddrive. My kids must grab my camera and take pictures of themselves far more than I know about. But this one cracks me up the most because I am quite sure the Tater Tot had no idea that the flash was going to rend him permanently blinded for 5 minutes when he grabbed for Cameron the Camera. Serves ya right, kid.

8) So this is me. On Super Fun Vaca in Canada. And I was chatting with my chilluns. And I'm pretty sure I sound cuter talking on the phone than I look.

7) Yes. I am winking. While holding masking tape and a Sharpie. Don't ask.

6) And then I have a picture of an empty Tic Tac box. Weird.

5) This picture of the husband cracks me up so stinkin' much. I can't even make sassy commentary on it for snort giggling all over myself.

4) I cannot begin to tell you how many pictures I have like this. Ahhh...the memories of my boys playing sports. And the elbows of the strange people who stood up in front of me.

3) Yes. My mouth is really that big. And I can also touch my nose with my tongue if you were wondering.

2) This was in Nashville on Super Fun Vaca, and though we have a really cute picture of me with the besties and the ever-so-friendly shark, this one makes me laugh. Because Steph is telling Eric something very profound, Lisa is giving Wes the "Oh Brother" eye, and I am, well...I'm not really sure what I'm doing.

1) And my favorite. This picture of me was taken at my sister Mich's house at Christmas. And apparently I was letting someone have it. No telling what I was saying, but I'm pretty sure a "Do you understand me?" or a "Yes, Ma'am?" was involved.

Again. You're welcome. And if that wasn't enough for ya...I have plenty more. Because now that all my self-respect has left with the posting of these pictures, I have zero shame in showing you the rest of 'em.

Happy July 10th, everybody! Oh....and go check out all the rest of the listy goodies over at Mer's place!

Ha..you must have been working on your post at the same time I was.

Funny pictures. I have so many dumb and random pictures on my hard drive it's not even funny....and I still don't know why I even download them. Why can't I just push a delete button??

Ok. This is the Best. Topic. Ever.

You know how people always say LOL, but you know that they most likely aren't really laughing, much less out loud?

Well. I am absolutely CRACKING UP here. These are insanely funny! I always tell my friend that I cannot stand to delete any pictures, even the awful ones. Which is probably why I've taken around 7,000 pictures since Savannah has been born....and kept them all.

The pics that made me bust out laughing the most is the first one one, the one of the random elbow, and your hubby sitting on the steps. Now that right there is funny.

If it's possible I think I heart ya just a little more now.

So glad I'm not the only one with "why do I take up hard drive space with these?" pics...

Your "letting somebody have it' picture just cracks me up! The other night my son did something to annoy me and I shot him my "I mean business" look. Being a sarcastic teenager, he asked how long I'd been practicing that one. Yeesh! Kids!

I loved this 10 pack of pictures!! Plus all the captions were great...gave me much insight into the many facial expressions;) I have so many of those sport shots. You snap the pic and the moment is gone...or someone moves...or whatever. I also have strange photos of empty candy boxes or whatever...it's the blogger in us!

BTW-Do you realize you look cute in every shot of you! And I still want that bag!

I remember taking a few of those great shots.

I was too busy being relieved that most of the pictures were of yourself, to laugh. I was afraid there might be a sister picture added at the last minute. We both know there are plenty of those.

Take that back...Tate cracks me up. I love him so much.

Oh, the crazy posts we all would have if we posted our most random pictures on our blogs. Now, why don't YOU start one of those theme blog link-alongs about your worst most random pics on your hard drive?

Thank you for posting that last picture.

For I often wonder what deranged look I sport when I give my kids the what for.

So Funny! These were great! I too have random picture s of when the kids pilfered my camera...most of them are of silly faces and blurry close ups of the dog.

Very funny! You are so honest and brave to share the moments you want to forget so we could have a laugh.

Oh, mercy. You'd think seeing what you look like while giving a lecture would be enough for me to stop doing so to my kids.

Nope. :)

Great topic. Your creativity and sense of humor is showing.

Tell K not to steal your pink bag ever again. It's just not comely on him.

Those are all awesome. By the way, I have a pretty big mouth too. I can fit my fist in it.

I usually keep that little tid bit to myself, but I figured, what the heck?
