Gray. Schmray.

So the husband calls Sawyer "Red."

And Sawyer is making a habit of calling his daddy "Black" in return.

After such an exchange last night, I asked Sawyer what he would call me if I started calling him "Red."

Without missing a beat, he grinned that freckle-faced toothy grin and said, "Gray."

Thanks a lot, kid.

I will now be scheduling a colorpy with my hairapist.

Speaking of hairapy.  I got a new sassafras cut the other day.  I've been waiting until I was all fixed up and had my cute on to take some pictures, but since I never go anywhere and rarely slosh makeup on my face anymore, you are going to have to deal with the wrinkled raccoon-eyed picture that was taken that afternoon.

Love your hair cut! I have to dye my hair now...at first the gray was not bad...then the "skunk look" appeared...you know the big blob in the front. Done with that as long as we have the $...I will have my hair dyed.
I jumped over from Mich's blog. I have joined to follow and look forward to getting to know you.
Blessings, andrea

Hey Amber! I followed Andrea down here from Mich's blog. It's so great that you two have blogs of your own. My sister has a blog but she never blogs. I thought I reeled her in, but she got slacker on me. Anyways, your little "Red" is such a cutie. I think the hairapy is paying off. Your hair looks really cute and you don't need any makeup at all. It's a pretty pic. Now if we could only see that glamor shot...

It was nice meeting you.

Great hair! And Tommy and I had a similar conversation the other day except instead of hair color, it may or may not have included the word "slender" or "not slender" as the case may be.

We then discussed "grounded".

C-U-T-E! What I wouldn't do for cute straight hair. My frizzy unruly hair won't let me have fun snazzy 'dos like that.

Way cute hair!

What gray?

I have a hairapy appointment this afternoon because I've let it to waaaay to long between appointments. I don't think I can wait 8 weeks in between color sessions anymore. Boo on that!

I turned gray prematurely (i.e. late 30's). I don't see grey, Amber. Love your new style.

So cute - what a great style on you - I wish I could pull that off.

Here's the conversation I just had with Savannah, as she saw your picture..."Who's that, Mama? She's pretty. She has blue eyes. She looks like Princess Fiona!" :)

I love hearing the things that kids say. That's surely one you'll always remember. AND - you absolutely did have your cute on. Love the do!

I lovey the new hair, lovey.

Raccoon eyes? What raccoon eyes? I thought that's how eyes were supposed to look. At least that's what my mirror tells me...

Your hair looks AMAZING!! Oh, how I envy those that can wear their hair short and look good in it. I would so be there if my face wasn't200 miles long!!!

Oh...I see how it is. All the cool girls are going short. sigh.

And re: little Mr. Gray? Bless his heart. or not. ;)
