What If I Had Left It With the Fish Sticks? Talk About Blog-Worthy

Today I spent 15 minutes looking for my cell phone.

I checked my purse. I went to my car twice and checked the floorboards and seats. I checked my charger. I retraced my steps. I snapped my fingers angrily at my children signalling that I KNEW they took it and used it to call Cambodia. I mean, seriously....I'd only been home for 30 minutes. Where could it be? Oh no. Maybe I left it at WalMart. On the shelf beside the mac-n-cheese. Or in the refrigerated case with the fish sticks.

And then I found it.

I was talking. To my friend. On my phone.

And you wonder why I feed my kids Fruity Pebbles for dinner.

Do you need me to send you another Starbucks card? I think you might REALLY need it.

That's so funny!

Sort of along the same line....I was at your cousin Rich's apt today to take him somewhere. He was in a "tizzy" trying to figure out where he left his cell. After looking everywhere, and getting angier by the second, he suddenly stopped, and said "why don't I call my cell with my house phone?" Duh, why didn't I think of that?! It rang. From the empty laundry basket sitting 2 feet from him, on the dining table. Whew! Avoided a trip across town with him in a lousy mood!

I've done this more times than I want to admit. And I frequently start to drive off in my car while I'm on the house phone. I agree, perhaps you need some more coffee?? I know I do!

Amb,
Not long ago I was trying to tighten the screw on my glasses with a tiny screwdriver. (It was a tiny screw!!) I was having trouble focusing on the task so began looking around for...you guessed it...my glasses to help me see. Duh!!
It happens to all, some more frequent than others. I think it proves we share a gene or two.
Love you.
Dad

It's nice to know that I'm not in the world of "totally lost my mind" all by myself sometimes. Thanks for sharing! So wanted to comment on your Sonic post but couldn't because I was afraid I would win and it would make me terribly sad because we do not have a SONIC here. I think that might be one reason that I often enter the world of "totally lost my mind" I really NEED happy hour!

LOL!!! I think I so heart you!!! I haven't done that exactly, but I have millions of times tried to locate my phone. BUT, this one time a few weeks ago, I was searching for it as I always do and I had my dad call it(he was visiting that weekend), and couldn't hear it. WELL, turns out I had washed my cell phone in the washer! YEPPERS!!! Sure did! Luckily, for the first time, I had insurance on this puppy! I ended up getting a totally different phone sent to me...I guess by accident! It turned out to be an LG VU!!! It's a touch screen phone! Woohoo!!! I lucked out big time! I am loving this phone! Just wish I had internet access and texting so I can use all the cool gadgets.LOL Oh well, can't have my cake and eat it too....NEVER!!! Sorry, this was so long. Have a good weekend! :)

Umm, yeah, done this a few times. And also the looking for the sunglasses thing while they're on your head and maybe even on your eyes, and the looking for the car keys while I was holding them. But the worst? Pulling into the church parking lot, getting out of the car with the engine still running, shutting the door, and walking away before my dear husband says gently, "hey, were you planning on turning off the engine?". Yeah...that just happened last week. Luckily, I have a remote that I use to lock the doors, so no locked doors....this time.
