I Confess....

Don your priestly robes and secure your little white collar thingy. I'm ready to confess.

The plague has struck. We have that weird fever virus. No other symptoms...just high temperatures and lots of napping. (Keaton did say that his brain hurt....but, I'm not sure it's related.)

Sawyer was down and out yesterday; Keaton went to bed with it last night; and the Taterbug just registered 101.3 about 5 minutes ago. Just waiting on the husband to come down with it. He is by far the worst patient of all my men, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will pass over him.

Yesterday was slated to be a full day of basketball/soccer/baseball for all the boys. Because Sawyer was sick, he had to stay home....which was TORTURE for him.

Here's my confession....it was heavenly for me.

Please don't read more into this than I'm going to write, because I can't stand it when my kids are sick. But, what I can stand are lazy days at home.

We've been doing lots of snuggling. Lots of watching movies and tv. Lots of game playing. Lots of reading. Lots of laundry (a good thing!).

So although I despise when the plague comes sneaking around these parts, there is a secret part of me that enjoys the quietness it brings....only interrupted by the beeping of thermometers and chugging of Tylenol.

Everything's good and sweet until MAMA comes down with it. Wash your hands! And I agree, dads are the worst patients. I put my hubby in the back room, hand him the remote and close the door.

Spray yourself with lysol before you come tonight !!! :)

I asked Keaton yesterday if he was feeling ok after his game and he said yes but he didn't seem like his normal self.

Maybe you're getting all out of the way this weekend...so you'll be well for the week!

Sounds like my life since Wednesday evening. I read 4 books over the past few days. And did tons of laundry and went through 3 bottles of Lysol. I quit counting how much of the Tylenol/Motrin cocktail I have given and how many times that poor little girl of mine had to have her temp taken. Thankfully we are fever and virus free as of today but now fighting the allergy bug. I'm not quite sure what's worse. :)
